The GWO Enhanced First Aid (EFA) Course is a comprehensive, hands-on training programme designed to equip wind industry professionals with the knowledge and skills to deliver both basic and advanced first aid in remote, high-risk environments such as offshore wind farms and turbines. Whether you're new to the industry or building on existing qualifications, this course meets European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines. Upon successful completion, delegates will receive both the GWO Enhanced First Aid and GWO Basic First Aid certificates, valid for two years.

This course is suitable for anyone working in the wind energy sector—offshore or onshore. It’s ideal for individuals with an existing GWO Basic First Aid certificate, but it is also open to newcomers looking to gain both basic and enhanced first aid skills.

Training is delivered through a combination of theory and hands-on practice, including realistic incident scenarios. Assessment includes a practical evaluation and written multiple-choice test to ensure both knowledge and practical competency.
Delegates will receive both the GWO Enhanced First Aid and GWO Basic First Aid certificates. These are internationally recognised and valid for two years. After this period, you’ll need to complete a GWO EFA Refresher to stay compliant.
