The GWO Enhanced First Aid (EFA) Refresher course is designed for wind industry professionals who already hold a valid GWO Basic First Aid certificate and need to renew or upgrade their skills. This hands-on training equips delegates to deliver lifesaving support in remote wind turbine environments, using advanced emergency equipment and medical teleconsultation techniques. Fully compliant with ERC and AHA guidelines, this course prepares you to manage complex incidents in offshore and onshore turbine settings. Upon completion, you’ll receive a GWO Enhanced First Aid certificate, valid for two years.

This course is ideal for individuals currently working in the wind energy industry—especially those on wind turbines, offshore platforms, or remote worksites—who already hold a GWO Basic First Aid certificate and need to renew or enhance their training.
You’ll learn how to:

Safely manage incidents in turbine environments using best-practice protocols

The course combines theory and practical training, including realistic scenario-based exercises in our custom-built turbine simulation environments. Assessment includes hands-on practicals and a written multiple-choice test to confirm understanding and skill proficiency.
Upon successful completion, delegates receive the GWO Enhanced First Aid certificate, valid for two years. After that, individuals can take the GWO EFA Refresher course to stay certified and up to date with industry standards.
