The GWO Working at Height & Manual Handling Combined Course is an essential part of the Global Wind Organisation’s Basic Safety Training for anyone working in the renewable or wind energy industry. This dual-module course equips participants with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to safely operate at height and handle loads in turbine environments. Delegates will learn how to prevent accidents, perform emergency rescues, and follow industry regulations. Upon successful completion, delegates receive a GWO Working at Height & Rescue certificate, valid for two years.

This course is ideal for anyone working on wind farms, particularly those operating onshore or offshore at height. It’s mandatory for workers who need to carry out rescue procedures or manual handling in turbine environments.
The course includes:

You must also be 18 or over and have an appropriate level of English to complete the training.

Assessment includes practical demonstrations and a written multiple-choice test. Upon passing, delegates will receive a GWO certificate valid for two years. After this period, you must complete a refresher course to maintain compliance.
