Successful completion of this course is required to apply for a CSCS Green Card, which is essential for working as a labourer on-site.

  • This course is designed for anyone working or planning to work in the construction or civil engineering industry. It is a mandatory requirement for those applying for a CSCS Green Card to start working on-site as a laborer.

  • The course covers crucial safety topics, including:

    • Personal safety responsibilities.

    • Identifying and controlling common construction hazards.

    • Promoting better safety standards on-site.

    • Legal requirements and liabilities.

    • Safe practices for working at height, manual handling, and fire prevention.

    • Correct use of work equipment and understanding occupational health risks.

  • The course concludes with a multiple-choice exam. After passing, delegates must complete the online touchscreen test to apply for their CSCS Green Card, which is essential for site work.

  • Delegates must bring a valid, in-date photo ID, such as a Driving Licence or Passport. It’s also recommended to take a refresher course every five years to stay updated with the latest CITB safety standards.
