Course Information
The CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is a two-day course designed for individuals who currently have or are about to take on supervisory roles within the construction industry. Suitable for Team Leaders, Foremen, and First Line Managers, this CITB-accredited course provides a solid understanding of health, safety, welfare, and environmental responsibilities. Successful participants will earn a CITB SSSTS certificate, valid for five years.

The SSSTS course is intended for individuals who currently have or are preparing to take on supervisory responsibilities in the construction industry. This includes roles such as Team Leaders, Foremen, and First Line Managers.
The course covers key topics including:

Understanding legal duties as a supervisor.

Conducting risk assessments and implementing method statements.

Delivering effective site inductions, toolbox talks, and briefings.

Monitoring site activities and promoting safe working practices.

Identifying unsafe behavior and taking timely corrective action.

The course concludes with a multiple-choice exam consisting of 25 questions. A minimum score of 72% is required to pass the assessment.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a CITB SSSTS certificate, valid for five years. For those seeking to expand their knowledge further or pursue a career as a Health and Safety Advisor, completing the IOSH Managing Safely course is recommended.
