The CTS Solar Installation Package is a hands-on, practical training program tailored for contractors and professionals entering or upskilling in the solar installation industry. This package includes two standalone courses: Introduction to Solar Installation (covering Working at Heights, Manual Handling, and Harness Awareness) and the Solar Competency Programme (Roof Mount), which focuses on installing solar panels on residential and commercial properties. Designed for roofers, scaffolders, electricians, and construction workers, this course provides proof of competency and prepares delegates to meet growing industry demand. Upon completion, participants gain multiple certifications and essential knowledge of safety standards, legislation, and emerging technologies.

This package is designed for contractors and professionals such as roofers, scaffolders, electricians, and construction workers who are looking to develop or expand their solar installation skills. It’s ideal for those entering the solar industry or seeking proof of competency for on-site work.
The package includes two courses:

Solar Competency Programme (Roof Mount), which delivers practical training for solar panel installation on both residential (slate/clay tiles) and commercial (including flat roofing) systems.

Note: For those without a CSCS Green Card, the CITB Health & Safety Awareness course (bookable separately) is required to work on-site.

The certifications do not have a formal expiry date, but it is strongly recommended that they be refreshed every 2 years to stay up to date with current legislation and fast-evolving solar technologies.
